Hi again, I just wanted to explain the file path service works on the desktop with any file or folder, so you don't have to open it in finder to see the path.

Thanks again,
Jen

Hi, I am new to all of this, but I created three Automator services. One is to move a file to your choice of anywhere you can navigate to, on the option menu that pops up.

Another is simply a way to use the service to see the path of the file or folder.

The third one, is to make an Alias anywhere you want. I wanted to be able to easily see that it is an alias, so I also added that it will have a ".alias" extension after the file.

Thanks,
Jen

Wow, done! And the funny thing is "Create Zip and Email" was exactly what I was trying to create. I've wanted this kind of thing for a long time and now I have it! Thanks so much.

Who has a bank of the new services that can be shared?

Thanks for the tips, I was struggling with no finder helpers in 10.6 but this fits the bill perfectly.

Really handy tips here. I've wanted to mess around with this but I haven't taken the time to read up on it yet. ;-)
