Google Lightboxer is a Safari 5 extension that creates a Lightbox (Colorbox) slideshow on Google Images. You can simply click an image and it will load the full resolution image without taking you off the page. To temporarily disable hold the command key while clicking. The extension runs automatically, so there is no visible UI.

Optimize Legibility is a simple Safari extension that injects a single CSS attribute (text-rendering:optimizeLegibility) into every page. This will improve kerning and ligatures in text.

  1. hi, great plugin (google lightboxer)

    - can you replace the progress cogwheel with a more standard UI element?
    - can you make it so that the navigation stay the same place , irrespective of photo size? it’s pretty annoying now.

  2. Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll take a look at how well it’d work to freeze the size of the lightbox (maybe at maximum size?).

  3. would be great to have a crtlSwichter to use the cmd-keys instead of ctrl just the way firefox does it.

    still, great extension!

  4. I would love to do that as well, but thus far I’ve been unable to override Safari’s default cmd-1 through 9 behavior. If anybody knows how, let me know! (normal event.stopDefault() does not work).

  5. Hi:
Both (duplicate tabs and google lightboxer) great extensions. Keep it up.

  8. Hi: I really dig google lightboxer.

I would love to see an extension that opens a bookmarks folder from the bookmarks bar in new tabs (or at least know if it is possible as someone who is just starting with play with programming).
